The other day, I saw this ad on YouTube that totally caught me off guard—but only for a second. Right after, I was fired up and ready to dig into it because it was packed with all the tricks aimed at misleading folks 65 and older, just like me!
This advertisement is both misleading and deceptive: Earn Cove, a lead generation company, presents its life insurance promotion in a manner that falsely suggests government endorsement and robust privacy safeguards. In reality, it functions to channel your personal information to insurance agents.

The $25,000 Life Insurance Scam Masquerading as a Government Benefit / Blog | Voices for Safety
Why I Started Voices for Safety - and Why It Still Matters
I launched Voices for Safety with a simple but urgent mission: to speak up for safer communities, safer streets, and everything in between. At a time when crime was rising and cities were struggling; I saw too many voices blocking the very help that could make a difference—especially additional law enforcement support. Someone had to cut through the noise. Someone had to say: enough. Let’s give these communities back to the people who live in them. Let’s make safety feel possible again.
That’s still my goal. But after the passing of Charlie Kirk, I realized something else was missing open, constructive conversation. Not shouting matches. Not riots. Not political spin that fuels unrest but solves nothing. If we’re going to speak—whether through blogs, interviews, or everyday dialogue—it needs to be with purpose. With clarity. With the kind of courage that invites debate, not division.
I’m only one woman. But one voice is better than none. And I believe this country can still reflect the values I grew up with—where safety wasn’t controversial, and communities could count on support, not silence.
What frustrates me most is how loud the opposition to safety has become. It often feels like those who want safer neighborhoods are drowned out by those who resist any form of accountability. Where are the rallies for law enforcement? Where are the voices saying, “Yes, we want help. Yes, we want peace. Yes, we want our streets back from criminals and chaos”?
That’s why I’m linking this post—about the $25,000 life insurance scam—to Voices for Safety. Because scams, crime, and misinformation all thrive in silence. And I won’t be silent. Not now. Not ever.
